Chief Payepot School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 9 Teacher to join our middle and high school team. This full-time position begins in the 2025–2026 school year and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of First Nations youth in a culturally supportive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
- Teach Grade 9 core and elective subjects in alignment with Saskatchewan Curriculum guidelines
- Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Apply effective classroom and behavior management strategies
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff
- Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and the school community
- Integrate Cree culture, language, and knowledge into teaching where appropriate
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree
- Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Knowledge of and respect for Indigenous cultures; Cree language and traditions considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
