Chief Payepot School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 7/8 Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time position is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic middle school team and contribute to the academic and personal growth of First Nations youth in a culturally grounded environment.

Responsibilities
- Teach Grade 7/8 core and elective subjects in alignment with Saskatchewan Curriculum guidelines
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Apply effective classroom and behavior management strategies
- Monitor student progress and assign appropriate assessments and grades
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Collaborate with education team members in a supportive, team-based environment
- Integrate Cree culture, language, and knowledge into teaching practices where appropriate
- Other duties as assigned by the principal
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree
- Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of and respect for Indigenous cultures; Cree language and traditions considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
