Piapot First Nation (PFN) is located northeast of Regina, with a population of approximately nine hundred members on reserve. Piapot controls lands which are comprised of over 19,000 hectares located throughout Saskatchewan. With an abundance of community programs, we take pride in our Nation, ensuring we maintain our cultural and spiritual teachings, which are of utmost importance in our daily operations.
Job Summary:
The Peacekeeper Manager will report to the Band Administrator. This position will be responsible for managing the peacekeeper personnel that will report to this position. This position will also be responsible for implementing security measures to protect the community against property theft, vandalism and fire, control access to establishments, maintain and enforce regulations, monitor the cameras and any video surveillance within and around various establishments of the Piapot First Nation.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
· Monitor and patrol Piapot Band Office, Payepot School, Piapot Band Hall, Piapot Health Clinic, Payepot Daycare, Water treatment plant, Piapot Green Building/Fill station
· Conduct private/property investigations for Piapot First Nations and provide other protective services not elsewhere classified
· Emergency Preparedness: Provide immediate assistance for all critical incident responses
· Manage and lead the protocols and directives when attending to emergency calls and update as needed.
· Educate and manage the peacekeepers and hold them accountable for their responsibilities of their duties.
· Be a member of the Trauma and/or Emergency Response Team for the community
· Manage and report incidents to band administrator and leadership team as needed
· Manage and assign shift work and ensure proper coverage of staff is managed for the community
· Provide Search and Rescue Aid with enforcement officers
· Responsible to work various hours as needed
· Management of Budget
· Other duties as required
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years Security experience and Management experience
· Grade 12 equivalency is required
· Security and/or Surveillance Training Certificates would be an asset
· Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license
· First Aid, CPR and OHS Certificates
· Must complete a satisfactory Criminal Record check
